Josh Thompson, Joanna Smith … ‘Gettin’ Married’?

Josh Thompson popped the question to fellow country newcomer Joanna Smith last week ... well, sort of!

While performing in Victoria, Texas -- the first show on Josh's Cold Beers and Reindeers tour -- Joanna joined the 'Beer on the Table' singer for a duet of the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash hit, 'Jackson.'

"We were singing the song onstage and having such a great time," Joanna tells The Boot. "Then it was so funny ... Josh stopped singing mid-song and asked me to marry him, just like Johnny did with June and just like in [the movie] 'Walk the Line.'

"He wouldn't continue singing until I said yes!" continues the 'Gettin' Married' singer with a laugh. "So I guess Josh and I are now engaged! [laughs]"

No date has been set for the "wedding," however, Josh and Joanna, along with Broken Bow Records' James Wesley, pick back up on the Cold Beers and Reindeers tour Tuesday night (December 14) in Tyler, Texas at the Electric Cowboy. A complete list of the remaining dates on the tour can be found here.
