Congratulations, Josh Gracin! The former American Idol contestant has gotten engaged to his girlfriend, Katie Weir.

Weir announced the news via a Facebook status update on Saturday (Oct. 24), and numerous friends have congratulated her and Gracin on the happy news. According to her profile on Behance, the 24-year-old Weir is enrolled at Lipscomb University in Nashville, studying graphic design, illustration and digital art. Her Twitter profile says that she is the CEO of Southern Swag Co.

Gracin, 35, finished fourth on Season 2 of American Idol, which aired in 2003, and after completing his time in the Marines in September of 2004, he signed with Lyric Street Records and released his self-titled debut record, which peaked on the charts at No. 2. The album's second single, "Nothin' to Lose," hit No. 1, and the project's other two singles placed in the Top 10. Gracin released a second album, We Weren't Crazy, which also landed in the Top 10, in 2008, and Redemption in 2011.

In August of 2014, Gracin worried fans by posting an apparent suicide note on Facebook, apologizing to his wife for "mistakes" and asking his fans to "pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me." He sought help and began creating new music while on the path to recovery, and is now working on an independent album.

This marriage will be Gracin's second. In March of 2015, his divorce from his wife of 17 years, Ann, was finalized. They have four children.
