John Prine Shares ‘Stage’ With Famous Friends

John Prine is now 'In Person & On Stage.' The live recording, released Tuesday, May 25, combines classic hits from his nearly 40-year career, with tunes from his Grammy-winning CD, 'Fair & Square.'

Joining John on the disc are some of folk, bluegrass and Americana's biggest artists, including Emmylou Harris, Alecia Nugent, Sara Watkins, Josh Ritter, Iris DeMent and Kane Welch Kaplin.

John will perform a duet with Yim Yames of My Morning Jacket on the Late Show With David Letterman tonight (May 26). The singer-songwriter will also join Steve Martin, the Avett Brothers, Doc Watson, Justin Townes Earle and several others at the famed Newport Folk Festival, in Newport, R.I. Jul. 30-Aug. 1.
