Since the split of the Civil WarsJohn Paul White and Joy Williams have both set out on solo career paths. This summer, White will be introducing his solo music to fans with a short tour.

White will only hit a select few cities during the summertime trek, but those who can make it to the shows will get to hear music that he's been preparing over the last year. Accompanied by Secret Sisters, White will play in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Kentucky throughout the month of June. A full list of tour dates can be seen below.

Fans got a glimpse of what a solo album from White might feel like with the release of Dave Cobb's Southern Family compilation album, which features White singing "Simple Song."

For her part, Williams has also been collaborating with other artists since the duo's breakup: She recently worked on a song with Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams and even got a little assistance from Justin Timberlake -- but that doesn't mean that the transition from the Civil Wars has been easy.

“I’m sad, because we don’t speak anymore," Williams says. "And, yeah, I feel like I’m looking at a ghost in a way."

She continues, “I wanted one thing, and he didn’t want that. And a professional difference of opinion can feel very personal … I didn’t go through a relational divorce, but I went through a creative divorce."

More information about White's tour dates is available on Single Lock Records' website.
