Joey+Rory Get in the Holiday Spirit With GAC
Joey+Rory are teaming up with GAC this week to help fans get in the holiday spirit. The husband-and-wife duo will host a variety of shows covering everything from Christmas traditions to holiday home decorating, in segments filmed at their restaurant just south of Nashville, Marcy Jo's Mealhouse.
On Monday, December 6, Joey+Rory present 'Christmas Behind the Traditions,' a one-hour special highlighting the history behind such holiday icons as the Christmas tree, egg nog, mistletoe and wrapping paper. 'Christmas Behind the Traditions' begins at 8:00 PM ET.
Tuesday evening, December 7, the duo bring you 'Celebrity Holiday Homes,' featuring Jewel, TV host Kathie Lee Gifford and actress Holly Robinson Peete. This special is a heartfelt glimpse into the lives of the three celebrities, including their home décor, family traditions and holiday celebrations. Tuesday's special will air at 8:00 PM ET.
Wednesday, December 8, GAC will air 'Outer Spaces for the Holidays' at 8:00 PM ET. The special takes holiday decorating outdoors as two lucky families get their yards decorated for Christmas, Hollywood style. Host Susie Coelho and her designers create wonders including a frozen pond and overflowing Santa sleigh.
Thursday, December 9 will bring 'Decorating Cents: Home for the Holidays,' an emotional home makeover. Inspired by holiday memories of their own, designer Joan Steffend and two design teams deck out the homes of two deserving families.
Next week, the holiday fun continues on December 15, as GAC airs the 'Top 10 Christmas Towns.' This special will highlight unique holiday celebrations across America. Travel to 10 different communities from Alaska to Maine, as residents prepare for the holiday season on the sea, on the shore, atop mountains and in underground caverns.
The holiday festivities will conclude on Thursday, December 16, with 'Deck the Yard.' Viewers will be introduced to three neighbors involved in some friendly competition to see which family has the greatest do-it-yourself skills when it comes to holiday decorating.
