Joey & Rory are hoping to bring home the gold from Las Vegas next weekend ... in the form of an ACM Top New Artist trophy, that is.

"We can't hardly wrap our heads around it and believe we are up for that category," Joey tells The Boot about the fan-voted award. "That's a sign that enough people care about us to vote for us. We were beyond surprised, and we're just honored to be in the running for New Artist with Luke Bryan, who's had a great year, and Gloriana, who are up-and-comers, as well.

"No matter what happens at the show, we're already winners because we've done more than we ever imagined and dreamed of by winning Duo this year," Joey continues. "We're just excited to go out to Las Vegas and perform on Fremont Street on April 17."

The husband-and-wife team are down-home friendly folks who love their country, both the music and the lifestyle. Joey and Rory live outside of Nashville on a farm, which has been featured in their music videos and in their ads for overstock.com. Their upcoming video for 'This Song's for You' was also filmed there and features some of the couple's neighbors.

While wardrobe is a major topic with most nominees of any awards show, Rory says they probably won't be wearing very different apparel than they do on a daily basis. "We may even dress down for it," he says with a laugh, explaining, "We've tried really hard this last year to be part of having a fashion sense, but we're uncomfortable with it. We look at the ACM's as a nice date. Joey looks pretty, and I'm comfortable in my overalls. At the end of the day all that matters is that we are true to ourselves, and hopefully our music is extraordinary."

Joey + Rory were voted ACM's Top Duo by fans in an online vote, and are now in the running for Top New Artist -- also decided by fans, by voting here. They are also up for Top Vocal Duo, which is decided by ACM members. Reba McEntire will host the 45th annual awards show, which will air live from Las Vegas on April 18 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
