Joe Nichols has been riding high on the Top 3 debut of his latest album 'Crickets' in October. Now the album has reached another milestone, with the single 'Sunny and 75' reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the Country Aircheck/USA Today chart.

“Whether it's your first No. 1 record or your 50th, seeing your song at the top of the charts never gets old,” Nichols says in a press release. “Thanks to the incredible team at Red Bow, everyone at country radio and my incredible fans for making ‘Sunny And 75’ my fifth No. 1 song. God is good.”

'Sunny and 75' marks the country singer's fifth radio single to hit No. 1, but it's his first since splitting with Toby Keith's Show Dog/Universal and joining Red Bow Records.

“My last couple of years on Show Dog were filled with animosity and bad decisions,” Nichols explains. “On this album, I lost all that junk and went about it in a better mindset. I felt like I needed to do something different. … I’d felt stagnant, and I didn’t want to feel stagnant anymore. I didn’t want to do the same thing, because the same thing wasn’t working.”
