Jo Dee Messina reached out to her fans to help her record new album, 'Me,'through a Kickstarter campaign, as well as pick her debut single, 'Peace Sign,' and now she's enlisting the help of her loyal fanbase yet again.

The singer is asking fans to film clips of their own interpretation of scenes from her latest single, 'A Woman's Rant.' Winners whose videos are chosen will receive credit in the official video for the song.

“I am always approached by people telling me that this song is about their life,” Messina explains. “We want to tell real stories directly from the people who have shared them with us.”

Those wanting to participate can e-mail their clip to womansrant@jodeemessina.com, and then tweet or post the clip to Facebook using the hashtag #womansrant. Complete instructions for submissions can be found here.

The Massachusetts native says involving her fans in the entire process was an easy decision.

"This album is truly for you, the people who appreciate the creative process, as well as my amazing fans," she says. "There’s no question, I wouldn’t be where I am today without your love and support."

'Me' will be released on March 18 on her own Dreambound Records. Messina will kick off a tour this month in support the album. See all of her upcoming shows here, and pre-order the album here.
