In support of her first recording in six years, Jo Dee Messina is hitting the road. The 'Unmistakable: Love' EP features seven new songs and two bonus live acoustic tracks that will kick off an 'Unmistakable' trilogy. The other two recordings -- 'Unmistakable: Drive' and 'Unmistakable: Inspiration' -- will be released later this year.

On the day 'Unmistakable: Love' was released, it went to No. 2 on the iTunes country chart.

The success of the record is even more surprising considering Jo Dee recently told the 9513 that her record label, Curb Records, were reluctant to support the album. Originally slated for a 2007 release, 'Unmistakable' was held back by the label's executives until now.

This is nothing new to Jo Dee, who, throughout her career, has experienced all types of financial and personal hardships. But as she told MediaBistro, hope and faith are what kept her going.

"I don't know if it was the Ramen noodle point, but everyone from all angles was saying it was time to fold it," Jo Dee says of the last six years. "I [just thought I] can't fold. It's not the thing to do; it's not me.

"The underlying thing is you have to have faith. My life has been up and down and up and down and up and down, like everyone's, and the one consistency is hope and faith."

Jo Dee's first 'Unmistakable' concert is June 18 in North Lawrence, Ohio and dates are currently scheduled until October 24 in Tacoma, Wash. For a complete list, check Jo Dee's website.
