Jerrod Niemann has released a brand-new single, "God Made a Woman." In a recent tweet, the singer called the tune "my favorite song I've ever recorded."

“As children, we learn all about the great wonders of this world ...," Niemann says in a video teaser for his new single. "The one thing I realize now as a man, no longer walking alone in this world of wonders, [is that] God’s greatest gift is the love of a woman."

"God Made a Woman" is a mid-tempo ballad that was written by Michael Ray, Joel Shewmake and Jeff Hyde, all good friends of Niemann's; the singer tells Taste of Country he heard the song just once, "and it just captivated every ounce of my being." Niemann and Jimmie Lee Sloas produced the track.

“I didn’t write a whole lot [for the new album], just because I hadn’t been able to write a lot, but what’s cool about being able to produce your own record is being able to turn other people’s art or music in your own way, which is exciting,” Niemann tells The Boot. “I do tweak some lines and stuff — not that the songs aren’t perfect the way they wrote it, but sometimes I want to say things a little different. Obviously I don’t become a writer on the song, but in the interpretation, I tweak things here and there.”

Niemann left his longtime label, Arista Nashville, in early 2016 and signed with Curb Records that March. His last single was "A Little More Love" with labelmate and friend Lee Brice.
