Jennifer Nettles has announced the release date for her solo album.

The singer, who teased fans with the record's first single, 'That Girl,' earlier this year, took to Twitter to share the good news.

The Sugarland singer says she took a break from the award-winning duo she formed with Kristian Bush to focus on a different style of music. “I love what I do with Sugarland,” Nettles tells CBS Charlotte’s The New 103.7 (quote via Taste of Country). “But I’ve been wanting to do this project for a long time and [I] have been writing for it for three years. There’s the sound we have in Sugarland, but there was something I wanted to do that was a different sound.”

The married mother of 11-month-old son, Magnus, says her solo album will show listeners another side of her personality.

"I think this album so far for me musically has been the most intimate and personal ... musically and vocally," Nettles explains. "I think it's way more intimate to me and way more personal in the sense that when you collaborate, that's the nature of collaboration, you're affecting each other, and playing with and inspiring each other, and yet there are things that one may not get to do or want to do when collaborating."

Nettles will embark on her own That Girl Tour in 2014, including stops in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas and several other cities. Dates and ticket availability will be posted here when they become available.
