Jennifer Nettles will be releasing a Christmas album -- and fans have Dolly Parton to thank for that knowledge! The country superstar let the cat out of the bag, so to speak, in a recent interview.

According to Sounds Like Nashville, Parton was taking part in a live chat to promote her new album, Pure & Simple, when she began speaking about her own past Christmas albums, and her plans for some future holiday releases.

'I did a Christmas album years and years and years ago. But I am going to do a new one that’s going to include things from the new Christmas movie, Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love," Parton shared. "There’s a song called "Circle of Love," and I think Jennifer Nettles is also including that song in her new Christmas album that’s coming out this year. I will have it in the one that comes out next year.”

A watching fan tweeted out the news and questioned Nettles about its validity -- and the singer responded and confirmed that she is, indeed, releasing a holiday project.

"I am doing a Christmas album!" Nettles replied. "And I love that @DollyParton is sharing the love!! She is my ❤!!"

Nettles -- formerly one-half of Sugarland and the host of the annual CMA Country Christmas TV special since 2010 -- portrayed Parton's mother, Avie Lee Parton, in 2015's Coat of Many Colors TV movie and will reprise her role in the upcoming Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, set to air during the 2016 holiday season. Parton herself will make a cameo in the film.

If you're looking for more new country Christmas music, a number of artists are gearing up to release projects this year. Brett Eldredge, Kacey Musgraves, Rascal Flatts and Chris Young, among others, have holiday albums in the works.
