Jeff Bridges -- who won both a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar for Best Actor, for his portrayal of a down-and-out country singer trying to turn his life around in the 2009 film, 'Crazy Heart' -- is teaming up once again with the musical forces behind that film. Showbiz411 reports that Jeff is writing songs for an upcoming album, which is being produced by T Bone Burnett, who also produced the 'Crazy Heart' soundtrack. Ryan Bingham, who penned two tracks for that movie -- including the Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning, 'The Weary Kind' -- is also writing for, as well as co-producing, this new project.

There's no word yet on an album title or release date. In the meantime, Jeff has two upcoming films, both to debut in December. TRON: Legacy, co-starring Garrett Hedlund, Beau Garrett, Bruce Boxleitner and Olivia Wilde, hits the big screen on December 17. True Grit, which co-stars Matt Damon and Josh Brolin, hits theaters on Christmas day. Jeff -- who is the son of legendary actor, Lloyd Bridges -- plays the role of an aging U.S. Marshall in the latter film, which is a modern day remake of the 1969 movie starring John Wayne.
