Jason Isbell probably doesn't need a reality TV talent show to further his career, but that doesn't mean no one's asked about it. According to the 35-year-old Americana star, a producer from 'The Voice' found him online and invited him to audition for the show.

The Alabama native took to Twitter to share an excerpt from an e-mail he received. "I came across Jason Isbell online and was hoping to chat with him about auditioning for us if it's something that interests him?" the note reads. It's written by someone who claims to be a talent producer for the singing competition.

Even if the offer is legit, Isbell, who was a big winner at the 2014 Americana Music Awards, isn't too interested in landing a spot on Team Blake.

'The Voice' has featured Blake Shelton as a coach every season since its premiere in 2011. The show is responsible for launching the careers of Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery and the Swon Brothers, among others.

Isbell was a member of the Drive-By Truckers until launching his solo career in 2007. He's released four studio albums, including 2013's award-winning 'Southeastern,' and two live albums, and has plenty of tour dates on the calendar over the next few months.
