Jason Aldean's duet with Kelly Clarkson, 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' is such a smash hit, he's taking the pop star on the road with him every night to perform it. Well, sort of.

The dynamic pair debuted the song during the CMA Awards back in November, receiving a standing ovation for their emotionally-charged performance. Now, with Jason on the road with his My Kinda Party tour, the singer has found an innovative way to have his duet partner join him on stage. Kelly is seen on a big screen behind Jason singing her part of the duet on tape when he performs the song live in concert.

"We looked for a way to make her a part of the show because she can't be here every night to sing with me," Jason tells The Boot. "It's cool; it kinda looks like she's live from satellite. And none of my guys look or sing like that!"

"We decided to go in and film her doing her thing," he tells CMT. "So even though she wasn't at the show, she could still be a part of the show. As big as that song is getting for us right now, it was definitely a song that we thought we had to have in the show. She cut a thing for us to use, and I cut a thing for her to use in her show if she wants to do that. It's a cool way to have her be a part of the show even though she's not going to be there every night."

The two-time ACM award nominee (one of which is for Entertainer of the Year), says including Kelly is just one aspect of the cutting-edge technology he's using to take his shows to a new level.

"When you first go out and start touring, it's not like you can go out and carry all the things that you would like to have out there," Jason tells The Boot. "That takes time. For us, this is the first year to go out and really be able to carry full video and be able to make it visually look cool and do things we've never been able to do before."

Jason's My Kinda Party tour runs through May, with three dates this weekend in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. See his complete schedule here.
