Jason Aldean has received the best birthday gift of all -- a No. 1 song! The country superstar, who turned 34 today (February 28), was all smiles after learning his duet with Kelly Clarkson, 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' soared all the way to the top of the Billboard country singles chart.

"It's a pretty killer birthday present, that's for sure! My family and friends are going to have to work VERY VERY hard to beat what country radio and the fans have already given me today," Jason jokes. "On a serious note, I am really proud of this song. Anybody who says they wouldn't be nervous to try and go note for note with a vocalist like Kelly Clarkson is straight up lying to you! So, I do feel a huge sense of accomplishment to have pulled it off in the studio and on live TV with her, and then for everyone else to have responded to it the way they did ... it's just incredible, and you never take those things for granted."

'Don't You Wanna Stay' also remains No. 1 on iTunes country songs chart.

Jason is currently in the middle of an extensive tour that takes him all over the country, but even though Kelly isn't part of the tour, fans can still hear the duet in all its glory. While Jason belts the song live, Kelly sings her part in a pre-recorded video displayed on a huge screen behind the ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee.

"We looked for a way to make her a part of the show, because she can't be here every night to sing with me," Jason tells The Boot. "It's cool; it kinda looks like she's live from satellite. And none of my guys look or sing like that!"

Jason's upcoming schedule includes stops in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. See his tour dates here.
