Jana Kramer Hospitalized: Singer Forced to Cancel Shows Due to Sickness

Well, this will certainly be a birthday to remember for Jana Kramer. The "Why Ya Wanna" singer celebrated her 29th b-day today (Dec. 2) by being discharged from the hospital after falling ill over the weekend.

On Friday (Nov. 30), Jana was having fun fishing with her boyfriend, singer Brantley Gilbert, before her scheduled show in West Palm Beach, Fla. that night. "We caught a baby shark!!!!!!" she tweeted with a pic of the catch.

But a few hours later, Jana tweeted that she wasn't feeling too well. "My how the day has changed," she wrote. "I am now sick with 101 fever and getting ready for this show is a challenge."

Jana tried to perform nevertheless, but her set was cut short due to her health. She tweeted, "had no voice! Ill make it up to y'all I promise! Thanks for helping me thru this bug!"

Once leaving the show, Jana was admitted to the hospital, where Brantley and her manager tried to lift her spirits by posting funny glove pictures and posing in hospital gowns. "Being entertained at the hospital by my manager and B.#tryingtomakemesmile #sortaworking," she tweeted.

On Saturday, Dec. 1, Jana updated fans on her condition, "I'm okay. I'm on morphine and lots of liquid and other stuff. #dehydration #flu #etc ! Thanks for the love!"

Even though she was released earlier today (Dec. 2), since she's still on the mend, Jana had to miss tonight's show in Tampa, Fla., as well. "Terribly sorry I'm missin the show tonight in Tampa," she tweeted. "I got out of the hospital this morning &still really sick. I will make it up to y'all."

The singer is currently touring with Alan Jackson. Their next tour stop is Dec. 5 in Las Vegas, Nev.
