Jamie Lynn Spears Getting Married on Friday

Country singer Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly set to walk down the aisle on Friday (March 14).

The country newcomer, who first shot to fame on the Nickelodeon TV show 'Zoey 101,' has been engaged to James Watson since March of 2013. The couple filed for a marriage license at Tangipahoa Parish Clerk of Courts in Louisiana on March 5, according to E! Entertainment.

The couple are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond, and a wedding date of March 14 is listed at the top of the registry.

This will be Spears' first marriage. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, who is the father of her five-year-old daughter, Maddie. She released her debut country single, 'How Could I Want More,' in the fall. The song was inspired by her relationship with Watson, she tells Taste of Country.

“This was a point where I’d just broken up with him and this song came right from such a vulnerable place that I was in, every time I sing it it just brings me right back there," she relates. "And to look at where we are now …"

Spears is also the younger sister of pop superstar Britney Spears, with whom she appeared on the song 'Chillin With You' from Britney's album, 'Britney Jean.' Watson owns and operates a communications service called Advanced Media Partners.
