Jake Owen is set to perform at the Players Championship tournament's Military Appreciation Day.

The event will take place on May 7 on the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse Lawn in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., to conclude a day of special events meant to celebrate the men and women in the Armed Forces.

"Performing for the military is always a true honor," Owen, a Florida native, says in a press release. "I admire what these men and women do to serve our country and I can't wait to show my support."

In addition to Owen's performance, the event will feature pageantry by military personnel and an address by PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem, a player from the field (not yet announced) and high-profile speakers from the military.

The Players is also providing free admission to the tournament all week to all active duty, retired and reserve military personnel and their dependents. Ticket information for service members and general admission are available on the event's website.
