Jake Owen went to the islands for his performance on 'CMA Country Christmas' on Monday night (Dec. 2).

The singer performed the Hawaiian tune, 'Mele Kalikimaka,' which means "Merry Christmas." Owen wore a red suit with an accompanying lei to add to the warm beach feel. Children dressed as elves joined in on the fun, passing out leis to audience members during his performance.

Owen spoke with his wife, Lacey Buchanan, on a couch on stage before he started to sing. The two shared how Christmas takes on a different feel with the addition of their daughter, Olive Pearl, who just celebrated her first birthday.

Owen's next album, 'Days of Gold,' will be released tomorrow (Dec. 3)." It’s just feel-good, kind of the same thing I do," he explains of the new record. "Just good-time, good-feeling songs. That’s the best way to put it.”
