Carrie Underwood, Joey + Rory Among ‘Inspirational’ Nominees

The nominations for the 16th annual Inspirational Country Music awards have been announced, with plenty of mainstream country stars performing double-duty in the Christian Country genre as well.

Carrie Underwood, Justin Moore and Joey+Rory all scored two ICM nods apiece. Carrie is nominated in the Mainstream Country Artist and Video categories (the latter for 'Mama's Song'), while Justin landed in both the Mainstream Inspirational Country Song and Video categories (for 'If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away'). Joey + Rory received nods for both Mainstream Inspirational Country Song, for 'That's Important to Me,' and Mainstream Country Artist.

Josh Turner, Buddy Jewell and Jeff Bates join Carrie in the Mainstream Country Artist category, while Lady Antebellum, the Grascals and the Band Perry are also mentioned in the Video category. Ronnie Dunn, Rascal Flatts and George Strait are vying for the trophy for Mainstream Inspirational Country Song.

The Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Travis and Ricky Skaggs are also nominated for the Legend/Pioneer Award. See a partial list of nominations below. For a complete list, click here.

The ICM Awards will be held on Friday, October 28 at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
