The devastating stage collapse moments before the August 13 Sugarland concert at the Indiana State Fair has claimed another life. Jennifer Haskell passed away on Friday, August 19, from injuries sustained when metal scaffolding fell into the crowd.

"Jenny's family would like to thank everyone for the support and prayers during this difficult time," the 22-year-old victim's parents said in a statement (quote via CNN.com). "Continued support and prayers for the remaining victims would be greatly appreciated."

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush resumed their tour in Albuquerque, N.M. on Thursday, August 18, after spending a few days grieving at home with their families. The concert was marked by a special remembrance for the Indiana victims.

"I am sure that by now all of you are well aware of the tragedy that occurred at the Indiana State Fair on Saturday," a somber Jennifer said from the stage, surrounded by Sugarland's band and crew. "Moments before we were about to take the stage, a huge gust of wind blew in and collapsed the entire stage, wounding over forty people and killing five. In honor of those people who were wounded, and those beautiful lives that were lost, we ask that you would stand now and join us in a moment of silence."

The five killed on the scene by the collapsed stage were Tammy Vandam, 42; Glenn Goodrich, 49; Alina Bigjohny, 23; Christina Santiago, 29; and Nathan Byrd, 51.

The reigning ACM Top Vocal Duo of the Year acknowledge that they face a long recovery process after the fatal event. In addition to planning a memorial service for the families of the loved ones who lost their lives that day, Sugarland will also work to move forward, both personally and professionally, in the aftermath of the tragedy.

"This Incredible Machine is more than a tour and more than a set," the pair shared on their website. "We have always celebrated music as a healer. While music cannot change the events and losses at the Indiana State Fair, it can hopefully serve as a ritual and a balm to provide comfort and facilitate healing in this time of great sorrow."

Sugarland's tour continues Thursday, August 25, in California, followed by shows in Nevada and Pennsylvania. See their full concert schedule here.
