Hayden Panettiere revealed the gender of the upcoming addition to her family -- it's a girl!

"Yes, it's a little girl. I have to shop," Panettiere told E!'s Giuilana Rancic at the Primetime Emmy Awards. "I want to go shopping, I want to paint the room … I’m working with my amazing interior decorator, Ben Vandiver, who did my house in Nashville. He’s trying to do something that she can grow up in and you don’t have to change everything."

Rumors of the 'Nashville' star's pregnancy started in May. The 24-year-old and her fiance, 38-year-old boxer Wladimir Klitschko, got engaged in the spring of 2013.

“I’ve lived a very big life, and I don’t feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother,” Panettiere says. “Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, ‘Your life ends -- you’re never going to be able to do anything again!’ And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there’s nothing that I feel like I can’t accomplish while having children in my life.”

Panettiere told Rancic the couple hasn't picked a name yet.

“We have to make sure that it is American and Ukrainian all at the same time,” she said. “We’re still working on it, but we have some options.”

The actress will be back for a third season of 'Nashville,' which is set to premiere on Sept. 24 at 10 PM ET on ABC. Her pregnancy will be written into the show.
