The debut episode of Grace & Tony Greenroom Sessions features the duo performing a brand-new song, 'The 1,' with Malcolm Parson from Carolina Chocolate Drops.

The Boot has partnered with the husband-and-wife duo for the new collaborative video series, which will feature them in backstage acoustic performances with some of their musician friends. The series will be shot on the road and backstage at some of the duo's favorite venues.

“The Greenroom Sessions are going to be something that is very real," Tony says. "Real musicians, real collaboration, real music. We wanted to strip these videos down completely (iPhone only) and present an honest performance with some of our favorite people.”

Other musicians confirmed for the series include labelmate Christian Lopez (a cover of 'Million Dollar Bill' by Dawes) and Odane Whilby (a cover of 'Deep Water' by Bob Wills). There are also planned sessions with Jim Avett, Black Feathers, Penny and Sparrow, Humming House and Misty Mountain String Band, plus many more surprise guests to come. The Boot will debut new episodes on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Grace & Tony released their first full-length album, 'November,' in November of 2013 via Rock Ridge Music. Their unique blend of punk, folk, bluegrass and Texas swing results in a fresh musical approach they call "punkgrass."

They attribute their diverse influences to their families. Grace was exposed to southern styles from gospel to rock, while Tony learned from his brother, John Paul White of the Civil Wars.
