Grace & Tony Greenroom Sessions: ‘Million Dollar Bill′ (Feat. Christian Lopez)

In the second installment of The Boot’s Grace & Tony Greenroom Sessions, the husband-and-wife “punkgrass” duo chose to cover Dawes‘ ‘Million Dollar Bill’ with labelmate Christian Lopez.

The song comes from the folk rock group’s 2011 release ‘Nothing Is Wrong’. While the original tune has an air of sadness throughout it, Grace, Tony and Lopez’s take is slightly more uptempo.

“We are so happy to be able to present our new labelmate, Christian Lopez, to anyone who hadn’t already discovered him,” Tony says of the 18-year-old artist. “The first thing people want to say is, ‘He’s great to be so young,’ but the truth is, he’s just great, period. We’re honored to have him come out to Jammin’ Java and be the centerpiece for this performance.”
