Fans who hope to catch George Strait on the final leg of his farewell the Cowboy Rides Away Tour had better act fast. Tickets are quickly selling out, with most of the concerts for the second round of dates announced already snapped up.

On Oct. 4,  shows in Atlanta, Columbus, Denver, Omaha, Phoenix and San Diego all sold out immediately. Only tickets for Strait's Feb. 14 show in Auburn Hills, Mich. are still available.

More tickets for upcoming shows (see below) will go on sale on Oct. 11 at 10AM in each venue's respective time zone.

Strait, who announced last year that this would be his final tour, admits it was a difficult decision to come off the road. “I’ve lost a lot of sleep over it, but I feel like I’m not really retiring. I’m just not going to tour,” the King of Country says. "It’s not the last time I’m onstage. It’s been a part of my life for too long to quit everything. I have done it since the ’80s, and I think it’s time now to maybe see if I can live without that part.”

The 61-year-old isn't finished making music, though. He just announced a five-record deal with his longtime label, MCA Nashville.
