Move over, Rolling StonesGarth Brooks has broken the ticket record for the province of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Fans snatched up more than 86,000 tickets for Brooks' six concerts at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, when the shows went on sale on Friday (April 29), more than tripling Brooks' own Saskatoon ticket sales record (28,144 tickets for shows on Aug. 14-15, 1996 at Saskatchewan Place) and breaking a province-wide ticket sales record set by the Rolling Stones. The legendary rock band set the previous record of 80,127 when they played two concerts in Regina, Saskatchewan, in October of 2006.

As part of his ongoing World Tour, Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood — his special guest at all shows — will perform in Saskatoon on June 9 at 7:30PM; June 10 at 7PM and 10:30PM; June 11 at 7PM and 10:30PM; and June 12 at 7:30PM. The 2016 leg of Brooks’ World Tour began in mid-January in Florida.

Most recently, Brooks released Man Against Machine in 2014. Previously, the country superstar had said that a second new record would follow in late 2015 or early 2016, but he recently revealed that he was delaying the project to “explore the writing again.”
