Garth Brooks Will Play Edmonton, Alberta, in 2017
Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood -- his special guest at all World Tour stops -- will visit Edmonton's Rogers Place on Feb. 17 at 7:30PM; Feb. 18 at 3PM and 7PM; Feb. 19 at 3PM and 7PM; Feb. 23 at 7:30PM; Feb. 24 at 7PM; and Feb. 25 at 3PM and 7PM. Brooks has not performed in Edmonton in 21 years; it will be the fifth Canadian city that the country superstar stops in on his World Tour.
Tickets for Brooks' Edmonton World Tour stop will go on sale on Dec. 9 at 10AM MT, except for the Feb. 23, 24 and 25 shows, which will go on sale on Dec. 15 at 10AM MT; a limit of eight tickets per purchase will be in effect. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.ca, or by phone at 1-855-985-5000 or 1-855-985-5500. Tickets will cost $64.13, plus a $9.60 tax, a $6.25 service charge, for a total of $79.98.
Brooks’ World Tour is on hiatus until late January; following this break for the holidays, Brooks will perform in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Memphis, Tenn., before heading to Edmonton. However, Brooks and Yearwood do have three unplugged concerts in Hawaii scheduled in December, as part of the 75th Commemoration of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. The singer has said previously that he will wrap up the North American leg of his World Tour, which began in Chicago, Ill., in 2014, next year, then look at touring overseas.
The 2016 CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brooks released The Ultimate Collection, a new box set, on Nov. 11; the project includes nine discs of music from Brooks’ catalog, as well as some previously unreleased songs, and the 10th disc is an exclusive version of Brooks’ new album, Gunslinger, featuring Target-only bonus tracks. Also on Nov. 11, Brooks and Yearwood released a holiday duets record; Gunslinger, meanwhile, was released widely on Nov. 25.
