Garth Brooks has announced the city where he will perform the opening date of his much-anticipated comeback tour.

Actually, the superstar left it to 31-year-old Atlanta resident Andy Roberts to reveal that the tour will open in Chicago. Roberts asked Brooks about the news at a show in Las Vegas in January, and Brooks promised that he'd tell Roberts when he knew, adding that what he did with the information was up to him.

Roberts chose to reveal the news on the website for his business, which provides janitorial services. After he tweeted the news the website crashed, but WUSY-FM posted the news to Facebook, and a tweet from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta confirmed it.

No further information is available about the tour. A countdown on Brooks' official website indicates major news Tuesday morning at 6AM ET, which appears to be when he will begin making his music available digitally for the first time exclusively through his site.
