Garth Brooks has once again claimed the top spot in country music. His box set, 'Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences,' debuted at No. 1 on the country charts.

The collection, which includes four discs of cover songs, a two-hour DVD of a live performance in Las Vegas, plus a DVD containing his previously-released videos of some of his biggest hits, as well as a re-release of his multi-platinum selling 2-CD set, 'The Ultimate Hits,' sold an astonishing 163,000 units from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1 -- a number even more impressive considering the set is available only at Walmart.

This has been a big week for the Oklahoma native. In addition to the huge success of his CD set, he also reigned over the TV ratings as well. His TV special, 'Garth Brooks: Live From Las Vegas,' airing the final show of his five-year residency at the Encore Theater, was the most-watched show on Friday night (Nov. 29).

Brooks' fans who didn't get to attend his one-man show in Sin City will get another chance to see the Country Music Hall of Fame member in action. He will return to the venue for four shows on Jan. 3 and 4, this time performing with his entire band.

“I’ve been itching for the chance to bring my band to Vegas to play this room,” he explains. “I can’t wait. Steve Wynn told me I could use the theater anytime. I asked him when I could start and his response was, ‘How about New Year’s Eve?’”

Tickets for his Vegas gigs go on sale Friday (Dec. 6) and are available here. Purchase 'Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences' here.
