More details continue to emerge about Garth Brooks' highly-anticipated upcoming CD box set, ‘Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences.'

While it was initially reported that the collection would be released on Nov. 19, the correct date is actually Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, which conveniently falls one day before Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year.

Brooks' web site now reveals the full scope of the project. The eight-disc set will include the previously-announced four discs of cover songs from across the entire spectrum of his influences, plus a DVD of his Las Vegas performance, 'Live From the Encore Theatre,' as well as a re-release of his 2-CD set, 'The Ultimate Hits,' and an accompanying DVD of his music videos.

The set encompasses 77 songs, 33 videos, the live Vegas performance and a 68-page photo book, and retails for $24.96.

The legendary singer will appear in a live televised special, 'Garth Brooks Live From Las Vegas,' as he performs the final show of his five-year run at the Wynn Las Vegas. He will sing several of the cover songs that will be included in the box set, as well as share how the songs helped him shape his own career path.

“This is the soundtrack of my life," he explains of the tunes. "Growing up the last of six kids, music was the life blood of our family and as you can imagine, mom, dad, and each kid had his or her own favorite stuff and it all funneled down to me.”

‘Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences' will be available exclusively at Walmart stores and Walmart.com, as well as at all Sam's Club locations.

A final track listing for 'Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences' is expected to be announced shortly. The box set will be available for purchase on Nov. 28 here.
