Garth Brooks has announced the first southern date of his upcoming comeback tour. The superstar will perform at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga. on Friday, Sept. 19.

The announcement comes less than a week after tickets went on sale for the first date of the tour, which is scheduled for the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Sept. 4. What began as one show in the Windy City rapidly turned into 10 dates due to the high demand for tickets.

Tickets for the Atlanta show will go on sale at 10AM ET on Friday, Aug. 8 via Ticketmaster, by calling 1-800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849.  Tickets will cost $56.94 plus $4.56 tax, a $4.00 facility fee and a $6.00 service charge, totaling $71.50. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on Aug. 8.

Brooks has said that the upcoming tour will feature new music from an album he is currently working on, and may last as long as three years. His wife, country star Trisha Yearwood, will also appear.
