Garth Brooks has been added to the list of performers for the 2014 American Music Awards -- but he won't appear at the event in person.

Brooks is in the middle of his world tour, and the AMAs are the same night as a show in Greensboro, N.C. (Nov. 23). So, his appearance will be included in the awards ceremony from that night's tour stop, according to Billboard.

This beamed-in performance isn't the first of its kind Brooks has done. In 1998, he and Trisha Yearwood performed on the CMA Awards from Buffalo, N.Y.

November will be a big month for Brooks. In addition to his continuing tour dates and this AMAs performance, the country legend is set to release 'Man Against Machine,' his first studio album since 2001, on Nov. 11.

The 2014 American Music Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Nov. 23 on ABC. Luke Bryan is nominated for the all-genre Artist of the Year Award.
