Garth Brooks and More Country Artists Among the World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities

Move over, Taylor Swift! Garth Brooks has surpassed the country-turned-pop superstar on Forbes' list of the World's Highest-Paid Celebrities.

Brooks, whose estimated earnings in the last year are a cool $90 million, came in at No. 6 on this year's list. The country artist raked in the big bucks due to his record-setting World Tour, which has often included selling out the same arena twice in one night.

Swift isn't far behind, however, at No. 8. The singer, whose estimated earnings were around $80 million, was one of only three artists with a platinum-selling album — her pop record, 1989 — in 2014. The disc, which was released last October, has sold more than 5 million copies in the U.S. and became the best-selling album of 2014.

But Brooks isn't the only country artist who appears on the list: He is joined by Toby Keith, who lands at No. 32 ($53 million), while Jason Aldean takes No. 47 ($43.5 million), Luke Bryan is at No. 48 ($42.5 million) and Kenny Chesney is at No. 49 ($42 million). Tim McGraw lands at No. 58 ($38 million), while Florida Georgia Line come in at No. 61 ($36.5 million). The Zac Brown Band ranked at No. 78 ($32 million), while Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton tied at No. 95 ($28.5 million each).

Keith's name frequently lands on Forbes' lists of the highest-paid celebrities, thanks to his music career and his I Love This Bar & Grill restaurant chain, as well as his own line of mezcal and part ownership of the Show Dog-Universal record label. The singer, whose wealth is estimated at $500 million, landed on the cover of Forbes when the magazine listed the 100 richest celebrities in 2013.

Swift frequently appears on Forbes' lists as well. The 25-year-old landed on Forbes' list of the 100 Most Powerful Women earlier this year.

Overall on this year's World's Highest-Paid Celebrities list, boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao came in at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, followed by Katy Perry at No. 3, One Direction at No. 4 and Howard Stern rounding out the Top 5.
