Florida Georgia Line have been celebrating the huge success of their remixed single 'Cruise,' and now they have even more reason to do so -- the song took home Single of the Year at the 2013 American Music Awards.

The single, which features Nelly, may be the biggest country hit of all time according to chart numbers, but it has also been a giant success across genres.

"I've got to thank my boy Nelly," said band member Tyler Hubbard. "Thank you for making this song epic for us. It's a huge honor."

Hubbard's bandmate Brian Kelley went on to thank the duo's fans.

"It's an amazing time in the music industry, no matter what genre," he added. "Thank you guys, our fans, for letting us be a part of this. It's amazing."

Nelly joined the group earlier in the night for a performance of 'Cruise,' as well as his hit single 'Ride Wit Me.' Florida Georgia Line were nominated for four awards during the show.
