Christmas, Christmas time is here, time for joy and time for  . . . uh, new releases from some of your favorite country stars.

Every holiday season brings new Christmas music from some of the biggest artists in country music. It's a special time of the year filled with laughter and the love of family, and great Christmas music helps us get in the holiday spirit -- not to mention, it pretty much guarantees an artist an album that will be a perennial seller.

A pretty diverse collection of stars released Christmas albums this year. Kelly Clarkson offered up a strong holiday effort, joined by Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood for 'Silent Night' on her 'Wrapped in Red' album, while Trace Adkins threw fans a massive musical curve ball with his Celtic-flavored 'The King's Gift.'

Gretchen Wilson showed her more sentimental side with 'Christmas in My Heart,' while stars including George Strait, Alison Krauss, Josh Turner and Luke Bryan joined the Robertson family from 'Duck Dynasty' for 'Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas.' Restless Heart marked their 30th anniversary by releasing their first-ever Christmas album, 'A Restless Heart Christmas.'
