Long before the CMA Music Festival became the massive live music event it is today, the annual summer gathering in Nashville was known as Fan Fair -- a place where fans could get up close and personal with their favorite artists. While the event has now grown, with more than 80,000 fans attending each day and more than 400 artists participating, fans can still get the personal experience with some of their favorite stars at Fan Fair X.

Little Big Town will officially kick off the event as the Artist of the Day on June 11. They'll participate in a ribbon-cutting and then give fans an opportunity to ask questions at the CMA Close Up Stage. Hunter Hayes will serve as the Artist of the Day on June 12, with Chris Young taking over on June 13 and Darius Rucker getting the spotlight on June 14.

“Our fans really enjoy the Artist of the Day experience because it gives them a glimpse behind the curtain,” says CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern. “Artist of the Day provides an opportunity to learn more about what life as an artist -- at home and on the road -- is like for these incredible performers.”

Each Artist of the Day will also autograph an item that will immediately be auctioned off, with the proceeds benefiting the CMA Foundation and music education programs.

Artists confirmed to sign autographs at Fan Fair X include Kix BrooksKristian BushRoy Clark, Jessie James DeckerBrenda Lee, Little Big Town, the Marshall Tucker BandNeal McCoyParmaleeCanaan SmithJamie Lynn SpearsSunny SweeneyThompson Square and Chris Young. This year's AT&T U-verse Fan Fair X will include 353,000 square feet of artist booths, a marketplace, interactive experiences, lifestyle exhibits, activities for children, an auction and three stages at the Music City Center. Last year, the auction raised more than $100,000 from more than 100 items, including meet and greets, guitars, autographed memorabilia and other items. Stars who have already contributed items for this year's auction include Jason AldeanGarth BrooksLuke BryanKenny Chesney, Hayes, Sam Hunt, LBT, A Thousand Horses and the Zac Brown Band.

Created in 1972, the original Fan Fair, held at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, had around 5,000 attendees and included 100 exhibit booths where stars would greet their fans, sign autographs and take pictures. The 2015 AT&T U-verse Fan Fair X will be open each day of the CMA Music Festival (June 11-14) from 9AM CT until 5PM CT; on Thursday (June 11), doors will open at 8:30AM CT.

All Fan Fair X events are free with a four-day 2015 CMA Music Festival ticket, or they can be purchased for $10 each day or $25 for a four-day pass. Tickets are available for purchase at CMAFest.com.
