Tim McGraw wraps up his Las Vegas concert series with wife Faith Hill later this month and then heads out on his Two Lanes of Freedom tour. When it comes to balancing work and family life, which includes the couple's three daughters (Gracie, Maggie and Audrey), the country music superstar gives the credit to his better half.

"The mom is the one who makes it all work," Tim tells the Boot. "That's the key. Of course, my wife does such great work. She's a lot more Type A than I am. It allows me to be like a ball on a tether and just bounce around and do what I do, because she keeps everything so organized. She's great about that."

Although it's just been a little over two months since Tim released the No. 1 album, 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' he's already focusing on his next project. "I'm always thinking about music and always thinking about what I want to do with the next record, the sounds that I want to have on it and the type of songs that I want," he reveals. "I'm always looking for great songs and writing great songs, so it's always a constant flow for me, to get me into that."

While Tim enjoys writing, and has penned some of his own hits, including the Top 5, 'My Little Girl,' he's perfectly content letting other people contribute songs to his albums. "I'll probably try to write something," he explains. "If it's good enough, it will make it, if it's not it won't. You gotta let the song win. Sometimes mine wins and sometimes it doesn't."

The Two Lanes of Freedom tour kicks off on May 2 in Birmingham, Ala., with Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft also along for the ride. Keep track of Tim's tour schedule here.
