Faith Hill is very vocal about the importance of family in her life. The wife of Tim McGraw and proud mother to their three daughters, the 44-year-old has never hidden the story of her adoption and her humble upbringing in the tiny town of Star, Miss. But now she reveals that in the process of searching for her biological parents more than 20 years ago, she uncovered a welcome surprise.

"There was a period of time when I first moved to Nashville, like the first couple years, that I was simply lost," Faith explained to Robin Roberts, as part of the ABC special, 'In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville'."That's when I went on the search for my birth family. And it was all by divine intervention that it happened ... It was meant for me to find [my birth mother]."

The multi-platinum-selling singer found not only her mother, but a sibling as well. "One day, if I ever feel comfortable talking about the whole story, I will, but in the process I found a full brother," she divulges. "Just like my children are. My brother. We needed one another."

Faith may choose to stay mostly quiet when it comes to details regarding her family of origin, but the superstar mom is quick to sing the praises of her husband and three children. "There's a built-in appreciation and respect between us because he understands what it takes to do what we do," she explains to People magazine. "I'm inspired by watching him as a father and husband. He keeps his family first and wants to experience all the phases with his girls. He wants to be there for their sports, to teach them how to drive. He loves being in their world."

The blond beauty is equally proud of her three girls (Grace, 14, Maggie, 13 and Audrey, 9). "I feel lucky to be their mom," she gushes. "Sitting around our dinner table -- we try to have breakfast and dinner together every day -- everyone is laughing and telling stories about the day ... And being a mom has affected my work ethic. I've always had a strong work ethic, but it's greater now because I now they're paying attention."

Faith returned to the CMA Awards stage last week for the first time in five years, performing 'Come Home,' the debut single from her upcoming CD. She's also set to perform on the NBC special, 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center,' which will include performances by Justin Bieber, Tony Bennett, Cee Lo Green and Michael Bublé. The holiday special airs Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 8:00 PM ET on NBC.
