Eric Chuch Reveals Cover Art, Release Date for ‘The Outsiders’
Eric Church has revealed the cover art and release date for his hotly-anticipated new album, ‘The Outsiders.’ The album will be available in the first quarter of 2014.
Church’s fourth studio album is set for release on Feb. 11, with pre-orders beginning at his website on Nov. 6. Fans will be able to purchase an exclusive album bundle that includes a copy of the album, a t-shirt, sticker and/or a leather cuff bracelet.
The new project is the follow-up to Church’s 2011 breakthrough album ‘Chief,’ which took home Album of the Year honors from both the CMA and ACM. That album placed two No. 1 hits, ‘Springsteen’ and ‘Drink in My Hand,’ and three Top 10 hits. The singer-songwriter once again worked with producer Jay Joyce, both in production and as a songwriter.
Church will perform the album’s title song and first single on the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 6). He admits to some trepidation about the reception his genre-defying new songs will get from fans of his previous work. “I’m interested to see what people think about them,” he tells the Associated Press. “I always say the songs are mine till the moment we release them, then they’re the fans’ (songs). I’m very anxious. I have a lot of anxiety to see what people think about what we’ve done.”
Church is also nominated in two categories at this year’s show; Male Vocalist of the Year, and alongside Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for Musical Event of the Year, for their collaboration on ‘The Only Way I Know.’
