Can anyone keep up with Eric Church? He's revealed lots of surprises this week, one of which is a brand-new music video for his brand-new song "Mr. Misunderstood."

The video features Church, his band and a younger teen with braces and glasses. The kid feels like a misfit, and it's wearing him down. But, as the video progresses, Church and his guys take the boy under their wings, teaching him about cars and guitars and showing him that he has value.

As the young man goes through the aches and pains of growing up, Church sings, "Hey there, weird kid in your high-top shoes / Sitting in the back of the class; I was just like you / Always left out, never fit in / Owning that path you're walking in." In the song, the superstar admits, "I understand."

Toward the end of the video, the boy replaces Church in his position as lead singer, and the smile on his face will make you cheer.

"Mr. Misunderstood" was officially unveiled at the 2015 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (Nov. 4), in a surprise performance by Church. Church's fan club, the Church Choir, began receiving a special surprise in the mail before the CMAs: a 10-track album of unreleased music, dubbed Mr. Misunderstood. The album kicks off with "Mr. Misunderstood" and ends with “Three Year Old," which was inspired by Church's son Boone.

Mr. Misunderstood is now available for purchase through Church’s store and on iTunes.
