Hunter Hayes presented the 2014 American Country Countdown Award for Album of the Year to Eric Church, for his 2014 album 'The Outsiders.'

Before accepting his trophy, Church performed a flawless version of his latest single, 'Talladega,' sporting the black aviator sunglasses that have become his trademark.

"The coolest thing we get to do is to play our songs live for the fans," Church said during his speech, before recognizing each of his band members by name. "They're the ones who allow me to do that."

"There's a lot of people who think that albums are in the past, in the world of the 99-cent sound bite," he continued. "I will say, albums matter more now than ever, and I thank you guys for this."

'The Outsiders' trumped Miranda Lambert's 'Platinum,' Luke Bryan's 'Crash My Party,' 'Here's to the Good Times' by Florida Georgia Line and Brantley Gilbert's 'Just as I Am' as the top album of the year.
