The competition for Entertainer of the Year at the 2015 CMA Awards is packed with some of country's biggest and brightest stars, and it's hard to say whose name will be called when the category is announced at this year's ceremony.

Ladies first: Miranda Lambert has been nominated just one other time for this award, but she is, admittedly, a strong contender for Entertainer of the Year. Last year, she had nine nods at the CMAs; this year, she has four -- the number of trophies she went home with in 2014. With a Grammy Awards win for Platinum, a hugely successful tour and millions of fans under her belt, it may be time for a female to nab the award for the first time since Taylor Swift won in 2011.

Luke Bryan is the reigning Entertainer of the Year, but will he earn the title again this year? He has a lot of successes behind him, including his last Spring Break tour and EP; a fifth studio album, Kill the Lights (which also was his third No. 1 record); and a No. 1 single, "Kick the Dust Up." His 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour was also a huge draw this summer.

The legend that is Garth Brooks is back, and it's no surprise that Brooks is nominated for the top prize of the evening: He has been breaking records left and right with his World Tour.

Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival Tour was one of the biggest concerts to see this summer, and "Wild Child" and "Save It for a Rainy Day" from The Big Revival are just two of his singles that have hit No. 1 recently. Chesney has won Entertainer of the Year three previous times.

It's not a surprise to see Eric Church on this list. His The Outsiders World Tour, as well as several No. 1 singles from The Outsiders, have garnered him plenty of attention this past year. This is the first time that Church has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year -- and it probably won't be the last.
