‘Elvis Presley — The Album Collection’ Coming in March

A massive collection of Elvis Presley projects is set for release as a new box set this spring.

Elvis Presley -- The Album Collection will be released in mid-March and feature 57 albums, plus three discs of rarities and a 300-page book. Among the records are the soundtracks to all 17 of Presley's movies, his early projects, his Sun Records recordings and live albums, while the three CDs of rarities will each focus on a different decade: the 1950s, '60s and '70s.

"Our culture and music has changed so drastically, I think that we have to keep [Elvis] right in line and do whatever we can to keep him current," says Priscilla Presley, ex-wife of the musical legend as well as his estate's caretaker. "I'm not saying we'd change his voice. It will always be him singing. But it will be a new take on it. He would have been the first to jump in. We're just carrying out, really, the DNA of Elvis Presley and keeping him authentic."

The limited-edition Elvis Presley -- The Album Collection is set for release on March 18, just a few days before the 60th anniversary of the release of Presley's debut self-titled LP.
