The guys in Eli Young Band think it's a little ironic that they just had a No. 1 single with 'Crazy Girl,' and now their current single, 'Even if it Breaks Your Heart,' is all about living your dream.

"We've had this band for eleven years now and all four of us have dreamed about making music for a living since we were kids," Mike Eli tells The Boot. "We still say it every day: 'live your dream' ... This is that song for us. It tells that story for the fans who are just discovering us, and for the ones who have been with us for a long time.

"You have to go out there and open yourself to sacrifice to be able to eventually make a living at what you love, and follow your dreams," the EYB frontman continues. "Having our dreams come true by having a No. 1 song and a platinum single in the same week, and then our next single be all about living our dreams, is a lot to take in."

"Being on radio and having people like our song, and then having a million people want to download it is a great feeling," adds guitarist James Young. "It is absolutely one of the greatest feelings in the world, to know that you have that kind of support ... Our show has always been a No. 1 priority with us, and to be onstage and have people sing your songs back to you is one of the best feelings you'll ever experience."

The band continues to tour throughout December, with dates in Las Vegas, Nev. on Dec. 10 and then back home to Texas, playing Ft. Worth on Dec. 11. The Eli Young Band will celebrate New Year's Eve at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla., one of the classic clubs of the Midwest.

Come spring of next year, Eli Young Band members will find themselves a long way from their home state of Texas when they travel to Australia to open for the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill tour there.

"These guys are super hot right now," says Rob Potts, one of the promoters on the tour. "To be able to bring them to Australia for the first time and now put them in 10,000-plus arenas with Tim and Faith for six more shows, it's fantastic for Australian country music fans."

"We've heard great things about the country fans in Australia," Mike says. "We've also wanted to just visit for a long time and with the success of 'Crazy Girl' there, and a chance to tour with Faith and Tim, well there couldn't be a better way to come introduce ourselves to every Australian we can!"

The tour launches on March 14 in Perth, and continues on to Adelaide on March 16; Hunter Valley, March 18 for CMC Rocks The Hunter festival; Brisbane, March 23-24; and Sydney on March 27.
