'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson wound up at the unlikely center of a huge national controversy this week.

The 67-year-old patriarch of the Robertson family, who star in the hugely successful A&E reality show, was put on indefinite hiatus on Wednesday (Dec. 18) after comments he made about homosexuals and African Americans in the upcoming issue of GQ went viral.

In the wake of his suspension, fans of the show have started a campaign to reinstate him, saying A&E's decision violated Robertson's Constitutional right to free speech. There is a petition online that's already gathered more than 100,000 signatures, while a Facebook page demanding his return has nearly a million likes.

What do you think? Should Phil Robertson return to 'Duck Dynasty'? Did A&E make the right decision? Or, as some fans have suggested online, should the entire Robertson family leave A&E and take the show to another network?
