The first three months of 2016 have been kind to Drake White. The Alabama native is promoting his most recent single, "Livin' the Dream," while putting the finishing touches on his freshman album, and he also scored an opening slot on the Zac Brown Band's upcoming Black Out the Sun Tour. While it may seem as though the singer would want to try and make as much noise, literally and figuratively, as possible over the next several months, he says that isn't the case at all.

"My goal is to be quiet," White tells The Boot. "Be quiet in the sense [of] to sit down and really think about what I want, and communicate that to people, whether it be penmanship or exact communication. Meaning, if I want to go and play a show and sing this setlist or do this thing, what am I trying to accomplish with this setlist? What am I trying to accomplish with this chord or this lyric? Just think a little bit more about what I’m trying to do and really have a goal set in mind."

White's thoughts are also on his wife, who appears in his "Livin' the Dream" lyric video.

"[I want to] learn my wife a little bit better and love on her," he adds. "Where that’ll go, that’s one of my top priorities. That is my top priority."

White has also been announced as a performer at Country Jam 2016, scheduled for June 16-19, along with Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, the Zac Brown Band, Lee Brice, Trace Adkins, Big & Rich, Tyler Farr, Joe Nichols, Easton CorbinChase Bryant, Canaan SmithAaron WatsonLindsay Ell and Stephanie Quayle.
