Country music legend Don Williams2016 tour will have to wait. The singer has been forced to postpone his upcoming shows due to an unexpected surgery.

According to a press release, Williams underwent an unexpected hip replacement surgery and will be postponing his trek until after he has recovered. No further information about Williams’ condition, nor about the length of his recovery period, was provided. Ticketholders should contact their point of purchase regarding refunds.

Williams was scheduled to begin his 2016 trek on Feb. 17 in Jacksonville, Fla., and play in 19 cities nationwide through mid-April. The list of postponed tour dates is below.

Known as the “Gentle Giant” because of his tall height and calming songs, Williams’ best-known songs include “Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “Back in My Younger Days,” “You’re My Best Friend” and “Some Broken Hearts Never Mend.” He released a new album, Reflections, in 2014; the record includes songs by Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt and Jesse Winchester, among others.

“The only description I’ve ever had for songs I choose to do is that they affect me emotionally and that, hopefully, they have something to say that will touch other people,” Williams explains.
