Dolly Parton's new album, 'Blue Smoke,' has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard County Chart and No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200.

'Blue Smoke' is Parton's 42nd studio album, and her highest-charting solo release.

“I am glad that people are enjoying the music from my new 'Blue Smoke' album," she says. "It feels great to be in the Top 10. It’s always an honor to know the fans spend their hard earned money on my music. Thanks everybody!”

Surprisingly, Parton has only hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 list one other time -- for the Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt collaboration 'Trio,' which debuted at No. 38 and peaked at No. 6 in 1987. Her 1981 solo release, '9 to 5 and Odd Jobs,' came close, hitting No. 11.

Parton's Top County Albums chart history is more fitting of her icon status. She has had 42 top 10 albums, six of which have gone to No. 1. She also holds the record for the most No. 1 songs for a woman on the Hot Country Songs chart, with 25.
