Dolly Parton has been married to the same man for nearly 50 years, and in a new interview, she reveals she's planning to marry him again.

“We’ve talked about that -- we might do it all over again!” the country legend tells Closer magazine. “Another big wedding.”

Parton's husband, Carl Dean, has shunned the spotlight during their entire marriage, to the point where pictures of him are very rare. The two have an unconventional relationship in which he almost never travels with his wife as she tours and performs all over the world, preferring to stay closer to home.

“Carl doesn’t like to fly,” she explains. “Once many, many years ago, he went with me to Hawaii, and he enjoyed that, but he never wanted to go anywhere else."

As unusual as the arrangement seems to outsiders, it's been working for nearly five decades now, making their union one of the longest-lasting in show business history. Parton says they are considering celebrating their big anniversary close to home, where their family and friends are.

She adds the ceremony would “probably be at our big old plantation home. We love it there.”
